Google has created a strong campaign to set up several pieces of useful software titles in a beam which can be freely and easily downloaded and installed on your computer. This bundle also included software that will keep your Google software bundled with the latest versions of each day. This included software: Google Desktop, Picasa, toolbar Google for Internet Explorer, Google Pack screensaver - a screensaver that displays images of the user's computer, Google Earth, Google Talk, Google Video Player (United States only), Mozilla Firefox with Google toolbarSpecial Edition of Spyware DoctorSécurité Norton Scan, Adobe Reader 7, RealPlayer, GalleryPlayer, and Skype. For those of you who are familiar with Google Pack, and wonder why I did not include Trillian, approximately in March 2007, that Google is more bundles Trillian in Google Pack.
All the applications in this bundle, Picasa gets most promotion. The reason is simple: Picasa is a photo full features for editing, sharing and editing software.
The bundle is divided into two categories: Google trademark applications and third-party applications.
The Google trademark applications are: Google Desktop, Picasa, toolbar Google for Internet Explorer, Google Pack screensaver - a screensaver that displays images of computers of the user, Google Earth, Google Talk and Google Video Player (United States only).
Third-party applications are: Mozilla Firefox with the Google toolbar, special edition of Spyware Doctor, Norton, Adobe Reader 7, RealPlayer, GalleryPlayer and Skype security scanner. An important note, the third party applications tend to change. There are three applications that have been deleted and replaced this year: Ad-Aware, Trillian, and Norton Antivirus Special Edition, 2005 - with 6 month subscription.
Some sources say that Google is trying to create a beam that has the best-of-breed software in select categories.
